| Bethel Volunteer Fire Department is an all volunteer department located in northeastern North Carolina. Established in 1965 we strive to provide the best protection for the safety of our citizens. We service a rural area of Perquimans County that has three large housing developments; Snug Harbor and Holiday Island have approximately 400 homes each. The largest development, Albemarle Plantation, has 365 homes, three 3 story condominium buildings, a 212 slip marina and is projected to have over 1100 homes in the near future. Three additional developments are in the beginning stages and will include approximately 200 homes in the near future. We also provide mutual/automatic aid to the other five departments in Perquimans County, to Harvey Point Defense Testing Activity, A U.S. Government facility, and to neighboring Chowan County. |
